THE SYDNEY BRIDGE CLIMB

The Sydney BridgeClimb is an unforgettable and exhilarating Australian experience that allows you to climb the nation’s most iconic landmark. At the top of the climb is a breathtaking, 360 degree view of Sydney. Founded in 1989 by Paul Cave, The Sydney BridgeClimb was the first tourism attraction on a bridge in the world and it required ten years of research and development before it could officially launch. Ever since the opening of The BridgeClimb, this tourist attraction has welcomed over 4 million climbers from 140 countries in the world. This includes celebrities from across the world like Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Katy Perry, Prince Harry and Will Smith.

The BridgeClimb is guided by a BridgeClimb expert and as of today, there are four different climbing options available. The Summit is the original climb experience which is a fully guided, 3 hour tour along the upper arch to the summit. The Summit Insider takes visitors on a 2.5 hour journey inside the cathedral of steel to the summit and is the shortest climb out of all the options. The Ultimate is an iconic climb across the entire bridge and back, taking 3 hours in total to complete. To encourage people to immerse themselves in Sydney’s Aboriginal history, The Burrawa Aboriginal Climb Experience was introduced. The journey is the same as The Summit but involves a First Nation storyteller as the tour guide, allowing people to learn about Australia’s First Nation people and the origin of familiar names like Barangaroo and Bennelong Point. With each climb there are options of climbing at dawn, during the day, sunset or at night time to experience the views at different times of the day.

ABOUT  THE SYDNEY BRIDGE CLIMB

The Sydney BridgeClimb also offers limited edition climbs that occur during special events of the year such as the Sydney Pride Climb and with Vivid Sydney coming up in June, there will be The Vivid Climb. This will run from Monday to Thursdays in the afternoon throughout the duration of Vivid allowing climbers to experience the world’s largest festival of lights, music and spectacular colours from the Summit.

The Sydney BridgeClimb is not only an iconic national attraction but they are also dedicated to support the community for a good cause. They have run charity events to raise funds for mental health institutions, hosted over 400 firefighters to say thank you for their services and sacrifices as well as supporting charity partners like the ANZAC partners, Starlight foundation and Movember. They also strive for creating a more sustainable experience by taking actions like recycling the climbing suits to use for pet bed stuffings and removing plastic cutlery, straws and bags at their cafe.
